The spot light of this sociology class was to be able to examine and consider all areas of a controversial subject. When dealing with sensitive topics, discussions in this class tend to get heated quickly, because not everyone has the same experiences or view points. However, the goal of the class was to understand all sides of the spectrum, rather than be stuck on your ways. Advice I would give to anybody interested in taking this course would be go in with an open mind.

My final project for this class was to create a presentation based on the topic, busy life in America. Going back in time to the 1930's it was expected in the present we would work only 3 hours  a day. The reasoning behind this was due to the fact, technology was advancing at a rapid pace and by 2016 we should have so much free time. Technology makes lives easier and tasks quick and effortless as possible, it was expected this trend would continue on. Unfortunately, the life of an America as far from having so much free time, in fact Americans live pretty busy lives which you will learn more about in my power point presentation(up above).
